The Computational Biomedicine Research Lab, within the Department of Digital Systems in University of Piraeus is seeking for well-motivated PhD candidates for two new funded research projects.
The first project aims at the development of a computer vision system for skin dermoscopy through the exploitation of Deep Neural Networks and Machine Learning techniques.
The second project involves research and development of a prototype system offering innovative services to address the needs of long-term patients undergoing physiotherapy in Recreation and Rehabilitation Centers.
The PhD candidates should exhibit very good computer programming skills, ability of written and oral communication skills (in English) and good knowledge of signal/image processing concepts.
Postdoctoral candidates will also be considered for experienced researchers with an excellent publication record and skills on attracting new funding.
